WILLIAMS, Michael Paul – of Grand Blanc, MI, age 74, passed away Friday, July 15, 2022. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Morris Moos officiating. Interment 3 PM Tuesday, July 19, 2022 in New Haven Township Cemetery, 9364 Buchanan Road, Sumner, MI 48889. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Monday, July 18, 2022 and 10-11 AM Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Davison Assembly of God or a charity of one’s choice, in Mike’s memory.
Mike was born during a snowstorm on a rural farm on January 2, 1948 near Middleton in New Haven Township, MI, son of the late Paul and Reva (Woodward) Williams. He married Mary McConkie on May 8, 1971 in St. Louis, MI. Mike worked in automotive service for Volvo of America, Mercedes-Benz of North America and Al Serra Corporation. He was a member of Davison Assembly of God. Besides his quick wit, Mike was well known for making his immediate and extended family a priority with the trek from Chicago to Michigan, in all weather, for as many events as possible. Not only was family important to him, but God and hard work were at the forefront of everything. He also enjoyed motorcycling, canoeing, camping, and striking up a conversation with anyone he met.
Mike is survived by his wife, Mary Williams; 3 children, Kristi (Ralph) Jennings, Karen (Anthony) Bridgett and Paul (Colleen Smith) Williams; 7 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jared, Brittani, Jordan, Ethan, Elyse and Anthony “A.J.”; 1 great-granddaughter, Raelee; 3 siblings, Art (Beverly) Williams, Mac (Cheryl) Williams and Connie (Bob) Bolyard; many other loving family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Reva Williams; 2 brothers, Gene “Jack” (JoAnn) Williams and Larry (Penny) Williams.
