WHITE, John Wayne, Sr. – Of Flint, age 74, died Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 3, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Aaron M. Whitman
officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation 1-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
John was born in Eva, Alabama on March 28, 1939, the son of the late Robert and Lona (Holmes) White and was a resident of Flint.
He married Judith Easterwood on August 2, 1960 and she preceded him in death on March 11, 2006.
He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Swartz Creek.
Mr. White was employed by General Motors Metal Fab for 35+ years.
Surviving are sons, John Jr.(Sandy) White of Davison and David White of Ohio;
grandchildren, Joshua, Robert, Jacob, Katie, Andrea and Troy;
brother, T.O. White of California;
many nieces and nephews;
sisters-in-law, Lucille Weissend, Wynell Marvin and Vickie (Griff) Stegall.
He was preceded in death by wife, Judith; granddaughter, Stephanie White; parents; five sisters and four brothers.
