BRADY, Charles David Jr. – of Clio, age 88, died Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Ascension Genesys Hospital of Grand Blanc. Honoring Charlie’s wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
Charlie was born December 21, 1931 in Clio, Michigan to the late Charles and Merle (Richardson) Brady Sr. He grew up in Clio, Michigan and graduated from Clio High School with the class of 1949. Charlie served his country in the US Army 1952 to 1955. On July 14, 1956 he married Mary Blood in Flint, Michigan and she preceded him in death in 2016. Charlie attended GMI and worked for GM – Buick as a Pattern Maker with 42 years of service, retiring in 1992. Charlie was a member of the Clio Masonic Lodge # 205 and the Flint Eagles Aerie # 629. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, raking his lawn, and watching the Detroit Lions. Charlie loved taking pontoon rides with his family, especially his grandchildren, at his cabin on Rifle Lake. He was an avid Euchre player known for his CB Loaner. Charlie was a very laid back man, never judged anyone and never met a stranger. He also had fun taking the grandkids to the Fair every year.
Surviving are: Debi (Ron Gutchak) Drabek, Jeff (Chris) Brady, Tom Brady, Noelle (Mike) Gibis; Grandchildren, Seth (Jamie) Morgan, Erik Morgan, Adam Drabek, Noel (Kearsten) Brady, Natasha (Kevin) Brady, Jacob (Brittany) Brady, Garrett Brady, Katelyn Brady, Joshua Gibis, Andrew Gibis; Great Grandchildren, Felicia Morgan, Jacey Morgan, Mason Morgan, Kenzie Morgan, Brexton Brady, Oliver Brady, Devon Brady, Riley Brady, Aidan Brady, Kasin Brady; Brothers, Richard (Marge) Brady, Kenneth Brady; several nieces and nephews; Special Caregivers who allowed Charlie to stay in his home, Kathy, Nancy, Jennifer and his Granddaughter, Felicia. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Wife, Mary Brady; Grandson, Joel Brady, Sister in law, Kathryn Brady.
