MATTARELLA, Betty Ann - Of Swartz Creek, age 82, died Sunday, February 16, 2014.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Friday, February 21, 2014 at St. Mary Queen of Angels, 4413 Morrish Road, Swartz Creek 48473, Father Dan Kogut officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to Genesys Hospice
Visitation 3-8pm Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, where a Rosary will be prayed 7pm Thursday evening. Mrs. Mattarella will be at the church 10am Friday until the time of the Mass.
Betty was born in Flint, MI on July 8, 1931, the daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret (Wise) Mozader. On July 10, 1954, she married Joseph Mattarella. He preceded her in death on January 29, 2008. Betty loved sewing, quilting and traveling. She was a member of the Swartz Creek Friendship Club.
Surviving are children, William (Debbie), Margaret “Peggy” (Daniel) Elder, Edward, Donald (Terri) and Patricia;
grandchildren, Joseph Elder, Erin (Dave) German, Kelly (Curtis) Giessinger, Alexis Mattarella, Jacob Mattarella;
great-grandsons, Bryce and Hunter German;
brother, Arthur (Theresa) Mozader;
brother-in-law, Samuel (Ann) Mattarella;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her baby son.
