SIMPSON, Donna – of Davison, age 88 passed away June 24, 2019. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 4 PM Friday, June 28, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Visitation will be Thursday, June 27, 2019 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM. There will also be a two hour visitation before the Funeral Liturgy on Friday. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Genesee County.
Donna was born in Flint on June 7, 1931, daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Roscoe) Maas. She married James M. Simpson Jr. on March 10, 1977. Donna was a member of Davison VFW #4087 Auxiliary and Davison FOE #3589. She was an avid pool player and loved animals.
Donna is survived by her loving husband, James; children, Richard (Kathy) Monroe, Deborah (Joe) Bruno, Linda (Tim) Carnell, Russell Monroe, Robert (Shannon) Monroe and Ritchie (Paula) Monroe; grandchildren, Michael (Paula), Jeffrey, Amanda, Robert, Angela, Margie (Keith), Jack, Jonathon (Macy), Jason (Jacki), Nathan (Jennifer), Tyler, Aaron and Kira; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Annabelle, Hope, Richard, Benjamin, Randi, Triston, Genesis, Seth, Claire and Matthew. She was preceded in death by her son, Randy.
