BRAY (COLE), JOAN ELIZABETH– Of Grand Blanc, age 76, died Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Cremation will take place following the visitation.
Visitation 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Sunday, November 27, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Mrs. Bray was born in Flint, Michigan on December 7, 1945, the daughter of the late Bruce and Hilda Cole.
Joan graduated from Mt. Morris High School Class of 1964 and attended Flint Community Junior College (Mott Community College).
Joan enjoyed zumba, crocheting, bowling and being with her family.
Joan retired in Supervision from General Motors after 30 years of service.
Surviving are her two children, Alana (Michael) Czechowski and
Derek (Tiffany) Bray;
step-daughters, Lynn (Dennis)Williams and Gayle (Dale) Perne’;
9 grandchildren;
14 great-grandchildren;
4 sisters, Janet Hamilton, Jane Cole-Stitt, Jo Guerrero and Tonya Mays;
brother, Gene Decker;
several nieces and nephews; special cousin, Leo Bray.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bray; granddaughter, Shannon Perne’ Simons; 2 sisters, Judy Centers and Ileen Byers.
