SIFFERMAN (PEPPER), MIRIAM JANETTE – Of Grand Blanc, age 91, died Friday, June 30, 2023 at her residence.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, July 11th, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Dr. Max B. Hayden officiating.
Burial will take place in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint from 2:00pm-5:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm on Monday, July 10th and 1:00pm on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 until the time of service at 2 p.m.
Miriam was born in Brighton, Michigan on January 31, 1932, the daughter of Howard and Ethel (Voorhis) Pepper. She graduated from Grand Blanc Township Unit High School in 1950.
Miriam married Air Force Corporal John William Sifferman Jr. on December 22, 1951 at the Grand Blanc Congregational Church. They lived at Randolph Air Force Base before returning to Grand Blanc following John’s service completion in Korea.
Miriam was a talented crafts hobbyist and active in 4-H with her children.
Surviving are her 5 children, David Lee and wife Janet, Jeanne Ann and husband Greg Grooms,
Gary Allen and wife Kathy,
Paul Duane and wife Carolyn,
Kay Marie and husband David Lasater;
13 grandchildren;
15 great-grandchildren and brother, Merl Pepper.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Sifferman Jr.
Those desiring may make contributions in Miriam’s name to the Genesee Food Bank.
