DOTSON, Doris Yvonne - Of Burton, age 88, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 23, 2025.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Alan West officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society.
Visitation 10am Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Doris was born in Danese, West Virginia on August 2, 1936, the daughter of the late Gordon and Elizabeth (Bennett) Parker. On November 22, 1956, she married Howard Wallace Dotson in Flint, Michigan. She loved traveling when she could and reading. Doris loved her Lord and her church and considered them to be family. She especially loved "her dog", Louie.
Surviving are children, son, Brian (Charlotte) Dotson, daughter, Rhonda (Karl) Dietrich;
grandchildren, Emily, Kyle, Chelsea, Chandler;
and several great-grandchildren
Doris was also preceded in death by her parents, husband Howard, and daughter, Vickie.
