ALMASSY, Sherry Louise (Clark) – of Davison, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2026. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1 PM Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Fr. Dieudonne Ntakarutimana, celebrant. Interment will take place following the Mass in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 with a Rosary being prayed at 6 PM. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to Mass at church on Tuesday, beginning at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice, in Sherry’s name.

Sherry was born in Flint, MI on April 6, 1945, daughter of the late Kenneth and Evelyn (Bedore) Clark. Raised in a Catholic household, Sherry attended St. Agnes Catholic School. After graduation, she married Norman Fisher and was blessed with her first son Norman, Jr. Later she met and married her second husband, Larry Almassy, who preceded her in death in 1997. She then had her second son, Aaron. Sherry met the next love of her life, the late James Tobias of Lapeer and they did everything together. They were true blessings to one another for more than 20 years. Over her career, she worked for various institutions including the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, GM SPO as a contract employee and finished her career for Acme Oil of Davison. After retiring, she spent time with her kids and grandkids and enjoyed volunteering in various ways with St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Davison. Sherry was a devoted Catholic, family member and friend.

Sherry is survived by sons: Norman E. Fisher, Jr and fiancé’ Bobbi Sweeney, Aaron Almassy and wife Heather; grandchildren Will Fisher, Abigail and John Paul Almassy; niece, Kelly; nephews: Todd, David and Jeffrey; several great nieces and nephews, and her special cousin, Peggie. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gerald Clark; husband, Norman; husband, Larry, and partner, Jim.

The family would like to give special thanks to Henry Ford Genesys Third Floor Staff CVC, The Medical Team Hospice, friends and family who visited and prayed for her, and Frs. Carl and Andrew from St. John Catholic Church in Davison and Fr. Dave Howell of St. Mark the Evangelist of Goodrich.
