KEEFER, Florence D. – of West Branch, MI, formerly of Davison, age 96, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at the Villa at Rose City. A Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM on Monday, January 27, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Doug Kennedy officiating. Interment will take place following the service at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Monday from 12 PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Villa at Rose City in honor of Florence.
Florence Keefer, born on August 20, 1928, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Ellis and Cora (Miller) Tucker. On February 7, 1948, she married the love of her life, Lesley W. Keefer, in Atlas Township, Michigan. They shared a beautiful life together until his passing on March 3, 2020. Florence was known for her creativity and warmth. She had a talent for cross-stitching and crocheting, and her homemade chocolate cake was a cherished family favorite. An exceptional cook, she found joy in preparing meals that brought loved ones together. Florence also had a passion for traveling, especially with her family, and she treasured the winters spent in Florida. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a devoted member of Judson Baptist Church in Prescott, Michigan. Florence’s legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to her family and community will be remembered by all who knew her.
Florence is survived by her children: Susan Keefer and Alan (JoAnne) Keefer; grandchildren: Jeremy (Joslyn) Keefer, Marc (Noel) Bean, Adam (Misty) Bean, Douglas (Christina) Bean, Robert “Mike” Bean, Aaron (Karrie) Keefer, and Rob (Barbie) Keefer and 21 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Don Tucker, Herbert Tucker and Buzz Tucker.
