GARRETT, NANCY E. – Of Flint, age 86, died Thursday, June 29, 2023 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Paul Holland officiating.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Visitation 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2023 and 12 p.m. Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Nancy was born in Flint, Michigan on July 8, 1936, the daughter of Emory and Evelyn Lewis.
She married William "Bill" Garrett on June 10, 1978 and he preceded her in death on December 14, 2004.
She was a member of the Swartz Creek Church of Christ.
Surviving are nephew, Robert (Melinda) Clark;
niece, Cheryl Yelle;
many great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Garrett; her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Etta and Allen Smith; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Wanda Lewis; sister, Judith Lewis; niece, Tracy Henderson and nephew, John Yelle.
