Walter Wayne Jentzen, 84, of Flint, Michigan, passed away peacefully on May 20th, 2026. Born on September 19th, 1941 in Flushing, Michigan to Walter H. E. and Hazel Jentzen. Walter will be remembered for his love for old school cars, and his love for traveling.
Walter was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Walter married the love of his life Annie Virgina Jentzen on June 8, 1963. Walter was a loving,caring and compassionate father to his beloved daughters Rosalie Allred (James) and Rebecca Middleton (Troy). As well as a loving grandpa to Ryan James Allred (Kristin), Amanda Joy Blom (Jeremy), Christopher Wayne Allred (Rande), Cody J. Middleton (Rachael), and Payton S. Middleton. A Great-Papa J to Peyton Allred, Liam Allred, Ivory Allred, Ryleigh Blom, and Brantley Blom. Walter was also a wonderful brother to William Russel Jentzen and Patricia A. Jentzen.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, Walter served his country with honor. He was also a dedicated member of the UAW and a faithful member of Flint First Wesleyan Church, where he found strength in his faith and fellowship.
Walter's legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply, the memories he created, and the countless lives he touched with his kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. As he embarks on his final ride, may the road rise gently before him and lead him home to eternal peace.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Hazel Jentzen, his beloved wife Annie Virginia Jentzen, his siblings William and Patricia Jentzen, and son in law Troy D. Middleton, Jr.
Visitation will be held at Flint First Wesleyn Church 3825 Davison Rd. Flint, MI 48506 on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 starting at 12:00pm with the funeral service to follow at 1:00pm.
Walter Wayne Jentzen will be buried at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery.
