POPE, Joseph Frank, Jr. – Of Columbiaville, age 72, died Monday, October 24, 2022 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Dr. Max B. Hayden officiating.
Entombment at Flint Memorial Park.
Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or Smile Train.
Visitation 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Joseph was born in East St. Louis, Illinois on August 18, 1950, the son of the late Joseph Sr. and Laura Pope.
On April 13, 1979 he married Dolores Rupright.
He was a mechanic and loved to build and restore cars and motorcycles and worked at General Motors Fisher Body, Buick and V8 Engine Plant for over 50 years.
Surviving are wife, Dolores;
3 children, Talisha Pollard, Lisa (Randy) Fink and Troy Mills;
11 grandchildren;
1 great-granddaughter;
1 brother, Gary Pope;
2 sisters, Yvonne Pilon and Dawn Marie Sullivan;
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Katrina K. Pope; sister, Sharon Kinney; brothers, Timothy and Michael Pope.
