ABBOTT, Arthur - Of Grand Blanc, age 85, passed peacefully Monday, February 8, 2021 at his residence.
A private funeral service will be held at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.

Burial in Lakeview Cemetery.
Arthur was born in Jackson, Illinois on October 4, 1935, the son of the late William and Mary (Moore) Abbott. On April 28, 1992, he married Janis Sorensen at Walled Lake, Michigan. Arthur retired from General Motors after working for over 30 years. He was an avid gardener and hunter. Arthur was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
Surviving are wife, Janis;
Daughters, Theresa and Ardith;
Step-children, Jeanna and Corey;
Sister, Bonnie;
9 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren;
11 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren;
And many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his sons, John and Martin, granddaughter, Heather, ex-wife, Alta and 7 siblings.
