LONGHOUSE, Dorothy G. (Lockard) – of Flint, MI, age 90, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021. A Private Funeral Service will be held at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Bo Rin Cho officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. Dorothy will be laid to rest next to her husband, Harry Longhouse, in Sunset Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Davison United Methodist Church or ALPHA 1 Foundation, in Dorothy’s memory.
Dorothy was born in Flint, MI on January 26, 1930, daughter of the late William and Helen (Hamilton) Lockard. She married Louis Harry Longhouse on September 23, 1950 and he preceded her in death on May 16, 2009. Dorothy retired from Genesee County Probate Court in 1994 after 25 years of service. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Davison United Methodist Church and the Yard and Garden Club of Flint. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with family.
Dorothy is survived by 4 children, Cheryl (Johnny) Wilson of Davison, MI, Ellen (Ralph) van Eijnsbergen of Langley, British Columbia, Janeen Clark of Flint, MI and Nancy Auger of Flint, MI; 12 grandchildren, Mark Tonkovich, Matthew Tonkovich, Stephen (Amber) Taylor, Jerome (Tina) Auger, Dennis Auger, Kyle Clark, Kara (Tony) Delgado, Kelli (Alex) Nedza, Ryan (Jackie) van Eijnsbergen, Jack van Eijnsbergen, Blake (Kassie) Scheunaman and Travis (Angie) Scheunaman; 12 great-grandchildren, James and Isabella Tonkovich, Liam and Cailynn Taylor, Florence van Eijnsbergen, Roman and Brinley Delgado, Kyra Reynolds, Addison, Nora and Carter Auger, Travis Jr and Weston Scheunaman; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Helen Lockard; husband, Harry Longhouse; daughter, Barbara Lee; son, Lawrence Longhouse; 3 grandchildren, Chad, James and Misty Lee; great-grandson, Gavin Tonkovich.
