Joseph Gerardo Montpas, age 55, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family after a short courageous battle with lung cancer. Joseph was born on September 22, 1965 in Flint, Michigan to the late John “Jack” and Phyllis Montpas (Popadich). Joseph worked at Flint Assembly for 25 years. Joseph was a wonderful man and will be deeply missed. He is survived by his children: Anna Montpas, Olivia Montpas, Autumn Delbridge, Rachel Hill, Holly Hill, Sam Hill; wife, Lilah Moore; sister, Carmen (Brian) Lamb; nieces, Lauren Lamb and Abbey Lamb; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Michael Gordon Montpas. Memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 11:30-12:30 at Reigle Funeral Home – 5501 W. Pierson Road, Flushing, Michgan. An outdoor graveside service will be held at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery immediately following. In compliance with the state and local mandates please practice social distancing, wear a facial covering, and follow gathering limitations while visiting the funeral home. |
