Gregg M. Koch
Age 67 of Owosso, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30am, Saturday, December 14, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Michael O'Brien officiating. Gregg's final resting place will be at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Friday from 2pm to 8pm with a rosary prayed at 7pm.
Gregg was born June 23, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of Donald and Madeline (Costa) Koch.
After graduation Gregg attended Mizzou University where he earned his bachelor's degree in Engineering Management.
Gregg was an active member in his church community at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He loved nothing more than family and being a grandfather. He was always looking forward to everyone getting together and going on family vacations, playing card games, time spent with the grandkids, fishing, and just simply being together enjoying everyone's company. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed the Detroit Tigers and Lions, NASCAR races, football and golf. Gregg had a love for cars and enjoyed working on them. He will be remembered by his loved ones for his kindness and generosity.
He married his forever love Jennie Tkaczyk at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Owosso on August 25, 1989.
Gregg was employed by Ghaffari Company and was dedicated and loved his job.
Gregg is survived by his wife, Jennie Koch; children, Jozette Porter and Niki (Gary) Smith; grandchildren, Bart (Morgen) Porter, Nicholas Porter, Randy Dorff, Jessica Porter, and sister Christine (Brian) Koch-Orr; along with several nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Madeline Koch, and son in-law Bart Porter.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Paul Catholic School. |
