GRAY, Eugene “Bud” Emerson – of Birch Run, age 86, died Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at his residence. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Darrel Manning officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors on Monday, June 13, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Mid – Michigan Antique Machinery Association.
Bud was born November 18, 1935 in Clio, Michigan to the late John and Effa (Hitsman) Gray. He grew up in Clio and graduated from Clio High School with the class of 1953. On September 14, 1957 he married Margaret Hunt in Millington, Michigan. Prior to his retirement in 1991, Bud worked for GM at the Fisher 1 and Buick City Plants with 30 years of service as a Fork Truck Mechanic. He attended Bethany United Methodist Church, was a member of the Mid - Michigan Antique Machinery Association, and the Campers Club. Bud enjoyed farming, old junk, gas engines and tractors. He was an avid deer hunter and liked his guns. Bud loved to travel with his wife, going to Alaska and wintering in Florida.
Surviving are: Wife of 64 years, Margaret Gray; Sons, John (Merry) Gray, Jeff Gray, Joe Gray, Jim Gray, Jason Gray; Grandchildren, Heather (Chris) Yaple, Heidi Gray, Mackenzie Gray, Makayla Gray, Kaitlyn Gray, Joshua Gray; Sisters, Joan Acre, Betty Short.
