VINCENT, Lawrence Ivan - Age 84, of Fenton, died Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at his residence. Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, with Pastor Lawrence Gill officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Land-O-Lakes Archery Club or McLaren Hospice. Lawrence was born March 26, 1928 in Swartz Creek, the son of Elmer Ellsworth and Clarinda Pearl (Burnham) Vincent. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. He married Barbara Ann Grumley September 30, 1950 in Swartz Creek. Lawrence Retired from GM Fisher Body Grand Blanc after 42 years of service. He was a member of U.A.W. Local #1292 and Swartz Creek American Legion Post 294. He enjoyed bingo, bowling, woodworking, camping, mushroom hunting and rocking his grandchildren. Surviving are: his wife of 61 years, Barbara Ann; 5 children, Karen Vincent, Julie (Richard) Parker, Craig Vincent, Laurie (Greg) Ostrom, Lisa (Tim) Roeder; daughters-in-law, Jan Vincent and Robin Vincent; 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; brother, Elmer (Barbara) Vincent; 3 sisters, Frances Welch, Shirley Beckwith and Arlene Myers; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion his dog, Skippy. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons, Joseph and Christopher Vincent; 2 brothers, John and Richard Vincent; 2 sisters, Mary Morton and Elaine Pearson.
