STONE (nee MCDONALD), THERESA ELIZABETH – Of Flint Township, age 88, died Saturday, March 11, 2023 at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend David Powell officiating.
Burial in Oakwood Cemetery in Fenton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Visitation 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Theresa was born in Grand Blanc, Michigan on July 9, 1934, the daughter of the late Edwin J. and Fern (Perry) McDonald.
On May 23, 1953 she married Clayton L. Stone at Court Street United Methodist Church.
She attended college after her children were older and graduated with honors from MSU. She loved to read, travel, enjoyed crosswords and other puzzles. She was well read and intelligent. Most of all she loved to be with family.
Theresa taught at Flint Schools, retiring in 1995.
Surviving are husband of almost 70 years Clayton;
sons, Timothy (Patricia Hull), Thomas and Jeffrey (Sharon);
daughter-in-law, Paula;
grandchildren, Andrew (Tara), Ryan (Jackie), Erika, Rachel (Giuliano), Ray, Laura (Ed), Jacob, Benjamin (Kayli), and Joseph;
great-grandchildren, Harland, Cam, Abby, Emma, Grace, Lance, Giulietta, Leo, Eli and Ivy;
siblings, David, Mike and Richard.
She was preceded in death by her son, Robert; grandson, Brad; siblings, Phyllis, John and Ellen.
