Thomas “Mike” Hager, age 80 of Otisville, died on Friday, March 17, 2023 at his residence. Honoring his
wishes, cremation has taken place. A funeral service will take place at 1:30PM on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Great Lakes National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Otisville American Legion Ezra-Paul Post 321, PO Box 86, Otisville, MI 48463.
Mike was born in Marquette, MI on January 17, 1943 to Charles and Adele Hager. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He married Michelle Sweeney on November 5, 1983. Mike worked for and retired from Buick in October of 1999. He was a member of the Otisville American Legion Ezra-Pau Post 321, Davison VFW Post 4087, and UAW Local 599. Mike enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an outdoors
enthusiast. He was a member of the Brotherhood of the Bow and shot black powder with the Richfield Rifles
group. He loved riding his Harley and rode many miles across the country, attending bike rallies from Sturgis to Daytona. Mike was in his late 70’s before he finally had to give up riding.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle; children: Tom Hager, Jr., Troy (Wendy) Sweeney, and Todd (Lee)
Sweeney; grandchildren: Chelsea, Kaylyn, Taylor, and Devon; three great grandchildren; siblings: Margaret
Eoff, Jody (John) Lapish, and Jan (Terri) Jones; brothers-in-law: Michael Congdon and Craig (Sheryl)
Congdon; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his
brother, Scott; niece, Tracy; and his parents. |
