COON, JUANITA- age 94 of Grand Blanc, Michigan passed peacefully into heaven on Friday, May 30, 2025, at The LaVigne Home.
Funeral will be at 2 pm on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road Flint. Karen Bolinger officiating.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm Thursday, June 5, 2025, and 12 pm on Friday June 6, 2025, till the time of service.
Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
Contributions may be directed to The LaVigne Home.
Juanita was born on July 31, 1930, in Flint Michigan, the daughter of the late Thomas Marshall and Era Crenshaw.
Juanita married Ralph Coon Jr. on May 17, 1947; he proceeded her in death on November 7, 2009.
She was a Junior Choir leader and children’s Sunday school director at South Flint Tabernacle. She had a beautiful voice and enjoyed singing in the choir.
She was an interior decorator with her best friend Rovena. She was a loving wife and mother. She gave generously to anyone in need.
Surviving are her children, Rita Coon, Robin (Glenn) Jones, Brenda Welch, two grandchildren, Renee (Jeff) Grooters, Eric Jones. Three great grandchildren, Tyler (Jessica) Cassidy, Abigail (Chris) Gustafson, Joseph (Claire) Cassidy, five great-great grandchildren, Dallas, Finn, Alexander, Oliver and Sara, brother Robert Crenshaw, and sister Barbara (Don) Evans.
Preceded in death by her brothers, Norman Crenshaw, Howard Crenshaw and sister Delores Ray.
