REESER, Karen Lynn (Verran) – of Flint, MI, age 80, passed away on August 23, 2023 at Brookdale Portage Assisted Living with her loving daughter by her side. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be from 11 AM until the time of the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, in Karen’s memory.
Karen was born in Flint, MI on August 3, 1943, daughter of the late Clarence and Glinadine (Prestege) Verran. She married David Reeser on July 15, 1961 in Flint, MI. He preceded her in death on June 20, 2010. From 1982-1983, Karen worked for Thompkins Ace Hardware. In 1983, David and Karen spent every weekend in Oscoda, MI, where they enjoyed many years of salmon fishing. From 1988-1998, Karen worked as an Avon Representative, achieving many high sales accolades. In 1998 they purchased a vacation home in Florida, where David and Karen loved spending their retirement years together. Karen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all.
Karen is survived by daughter, Michele (Don) Hopper; son, Scott (Teresa) Reeser; grandchildren, Jason (Kelly) Reeser, Paige (Lasse) Kauserud, Molly (Jacob) Brown, Noah Reeser, Madeline (Justin) Hackett and Cody Schrontz; great-grandchildren, Clavin, Lilly, Marlow, Roy, Maverick and Carsyn; special friends, Sally, Joan, Linda and Leatta; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by brother, Larry Verran.
