NEHRING, Gary James – Of Linden, age 58, died Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Covenant St. Mary.
Funeral service will be held 3pm Monday, February 26, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Pastor John Meyer.
Visitation 11am Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Gary was born in Flint, Michigan on April 24, 1965. On August 15, 2002, he married Judith Tapia. Gary was an engineer for Durakon Industries and Cooper Standard. He played hockey his whole life and was a member of many hockey clubs. Gary enjoyed boating, playing golf and spending time at the beach.
Surviving are wife, Judith;
Sons, Justin (Becky) Nehring and Eddy (Jessica) Tapia;
Parents, Gary Sr. and Rose Nehring;
Grandchildren, J.J., Nolan, Rylan, Evelyn, Luca, Ryan, Hunter and Kimber;
Sister, Dana (Paul) Shanbrom;
Special thanks to Aunt Faye (Tom) Walker and Lisa and Laura;
and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Chelsea and best friend, Rick Henderson.
