DEITERING, Marie (Arnold) – of Davison, age 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wreaths Across America, in Marie’s memory.
Marie was born in Flint on March 18, 1940, daughter of the late Orvell and Helen (Stabb) Arnold. She married Larry Deitering on May 19, 1962 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on June 20, 2016. Together they enjoyed vacationing in Ouray, CO and Yankee Boy Basin. She had many talents including sewing, cooking and “stirring the pot”. Marie dedicated 15 years of her life to driving bus for Lakeville Community Schools. She inspired others as a Weight Watchers Coach. Maries greatest joy was found in spending time and making memories with her family and her fur baby, Maggie.
Marie is survived by her loving children, John (Tammy) Deitering and Laura (Chris) Diehl; grandchildren, Paul (Desiree) Shearer, Michael (Meghan Constance) Deitering, Ashley (Torey) Woods and Jacob (Mackenzie) Green; 6 great-grandchildren; and many other extended family members. In addition to her parents and her husband, Marie was preceded in death by her brother, Norman Arnold.
