WOOD, Gaylon – of Burton, age 87, passed away on August 10, 2025. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Andrew Auclair officiating. Interment will take place in Flint Memorial Park following the service. The family will receive visitors on Monday, August 18, 2025, from 2-7 PM and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
Gaylon was born in Cardwell, MO on September 12, 1937, son of the late John and Beulah Wood. He married Blanch Vestal on January 7, 1967, and she preceded him in death on April 24, 2017. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army. Gaylon worked and retired from General Motors. His main focus in life was loving and serving his family.
Gaylon is survived by his son, J. Michael (Shannon) Wood; grandchildren, Christopher Wood and Sydney; brother, Don Wood; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Blanch Wood; sister, Jessie Urban; brother, J.T. Wood.
