Harry Leroy Cronover (friends called him Harry O’) 87, was born on December 30, 1934. He passed away peacefully September 6, 2022.
Harry was born in Flint, MI to Arthur and Gladys Cronover.
He married Dorothy Derocher in 1954, and had three children, son and daughter-in-law Randy and Dawn Cronover (Swartz Creek), daughter and son-in-law Cheryl and Steve Perrigo (Hillman) and daughter and partner Sue Cronover and Gary Brown (Traverse City).
Harry retired from General Motors Buick after 35 years. Harry and Dorothy spent 15 beautiful years at their summer home on Duck Lake Peninsula in Grawn, MI, and wintered in Gulf Shores, AL. They sold their lake home and purchased their dream home in Traverse City. After Dorothy passed away, Harry spent 23 beautiful years with his partner Pat Crone. Harry loved dancing, donuts, fishing, hunting, casinos, and keeping his home and yard pristine. He also loved his family fiercely, and enjoyed sharing his fishing and hunting stories with anyone who had a minute to spare.
Everyone loved his smile and sense of humor.
He is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, and survived by his three children, seven grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, in Flint, MI on September 10, 9:30 am to 11:30 am, followed by a short service.
Burial following at New Calvary Cemetery in Flint, MI.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Michigan.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at French Manor in Traverse City for taking exceptional care of our father over the last year. –
