THOMPSON, Evelyn - Of Burton, age 80, died Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at 12 noon Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Dr. Max B. Hayden officiating.
Visitation 5-8pm Saturday at the funeral home.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Evelyn was born in Block, Tennessee on July 28, 1945 the daughter of the late Columbus and Della (Byrge) Daugherty.
Evelyn married Ernest Thompson on February 29, 1964, in Lake City, Tennessee.
She was a wonderful mother, and meemaw. She enjoyed spending time with her family, word search puzzles, camping, decorating her home for the seasons, and caring for her flowers.
Surviving are her daughters Melissa Gath, Annette Stimso; grandchildren, Brandon (Kiah), Zachary (Emma), Kayla (Terrance) Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and several siblings.
