MORGAN, Wayne Albert- Age 69 of Swartz Creek, died on April 19, 2021. A Funeral service will be held 11 AM on Friday, April 23 at Calvary Baptist Church of Gaines, 10500 W. Grand Blanc Rd, Gaines with officiate Pastor Louis Canaday. Burial at Byron Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church
1-3 PM and 5-8 PM on Thursday, April 22, and 10-11 AM on Friday. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel. Those desiring may make contributions to Calvary Baptist Church. Wayne was born March 24, 1952 in Flint to Floyd Dewey and Florence Elizabeth (Shepard) Morgan. Wayne married Jane (Hallmark) Morgan in Flint on August 25, 1972. He loved fishing, hunting, restoring and collecting full-size tractors, and collecting toy tractors. He also enjoyed singing. Wayne's greatest joy was his children and grandchildren with whom he loved spending time. Wayne retired from Genesee County Road Commission after 25 years of service. He farmed all his life. He also served as a deacon at his church. Wayne is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jane of Swartz Creek; children, Jeremy (Jodie) Morgan and Laura (Tracy Sr.) Slieff, both of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Ethan, Tracy Jr., Avery, Alexis, Tuff, Olivia, and Elias; siblings, Muriel Hibbard of Byron and Joyce Mixer of South Carolina, Larry (Barb) Morgan of Burton, Doug (Pam) Morgan of Mason, and Martha (Jerry) Broadworth of Swartz Creek; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Louise Lawrence and Arnold Morgan. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
