Sheila Marie Method, of Midland, died on December 23, 2022, with family by her side. She was born March 15, 1956, in Saginaw, Michigan, raised in the Merrill Area, and formerly from Owosso.
Sheila graduated from Merrill High School as Valedictorian in 1974 and received a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Michigan State University in 1978. She completed her Medical Technology Internship at the Battle Creek Hospitals and received a Master of Science degree in administration from Central Michigan University in 1995.
She worked for 40 years for the Owosso Memorial Hospital in Medical Technology and Informational Services.
While completing her bachelor degree at MSU, she took a course in British Government and spent 6 weeks in London. Later in life, she spent two weeks touring Scotland, Ireland and then a cruise of the Hawaiian Islands. Her continuing education and seminars for her work made her travel the country, Boston, San Francisco, Vancouver Islands, and Miami Beach were some of the places she visited.
Sheila is survived by her parents Richard and Jean (Stroiwas) Method; her sisters Diane (Dewayne) Belcher and Ellen (Steve) Grzegorczyk; her niece and nephews Nathan (Jessica) Belcher, Anna (Mike) Fazio, Thomas (Kristin) Belcher, and Ryan (companion Nikkie) Golombisky; and her grand-nieces and grand-nephews Addison and Katherine Belcher, Layla, Hadley, and Weston Fazio, August and Marigold Belcher, and Austin and Ensley Golombisky.
Funeral Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 1200. W. Wheeler St., Midland, MI. Visitation Tuesday, December 27, 2022, from 2-7 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Merrill, MI.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Sheila’s name may be made to Michigan State University for Medical Technology at givingto.msu.edu. |
