Virginia Rae Gillmer of Davison age 89 died Monday December 1, 2020 at her residence. Family will receive visitors from 2:00pm-4:00pm Monday December 7, 2020 at Hansen Funeral Home Downtown Davison. Due to CDC Guidelines social distancing and limited amount of visitors at one time are being followed. The family would like you to join them but understands you may or may not at this time and respects your decisions. A private service will be held Tuesday with Pastor Carl Burkeen with burial at Flint Memorial Park.
Virginia was born in Mayville, Michigan on January 11, 1931 the daughter of the late Harold and Alma (Goodell) Brown and resided in the Davison area since 1960. She was joined in marriage to Wayne Gillmer April 13, 1948 in Flint, Michigan. She was a member of 4H club and was Club Scout leader for many years. Virginia volunteered at the Flint Osteopathic Hospital for many years.
She is survived by husband of 72 years Wayne; children: LeRoy Gillmer (Faye Phillips), Roxanne Wagoner (Wayne), and Lisa and husband Carl Burkeen; 6 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren; special friend Shirley Brownsen.
