Brinkley, Jerry Allen - Age 80, of Flint, died February 29, 2024. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, March 6 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc. (The funeral may be viewed by livestream from a link on Mr. Brinkley's webpage at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com) Pastor Sara LaRose Nettell officiating. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3-8 PM Tuesday, March 5, and from 12 PM Wednesday, March 6 until the time of the service at 1PM at the funeral home. Jerry was born May 13, 1943 in Gate City, Virginia, the son of Joseph Lawrence Maydell Brinkley and Ellcon (Johnson) Brinkley. He retired from General Motors. Jerry enjoyed his family, hunting and fishing. He is survived by his four children, Tim Brinkley (Amy Webster), Anthony (Karen) Brinkley, Tarra Owens, Jerry Brinkley; ten grandchildren; many great- grandchildren; brothers, Jack Brinkley (Bernice Fields), Ambrose "Tucker" Brinkley, Gary (Trina) Brinkley; sister Ruth Barger. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Huffman; daughter, Teena; granddaughter, Briona Jawhari; brothers, Roy Joe Brinkley and James Brinkley.
