MILLER (ABBENANTE), NANCY E. - Of Swartz Creek, age 82, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Springvale Assisted Living and Memory Care.
A Memorial Service will be held 11am Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Lamb Of God Lutheran Church, 2051 West Maple Avenue, Flint, MI, Pastor Mark Pretznow officiating.
Visitation will be held 10am Thursday until the time of the service at the church.
Nancy was born in Saginaw, Michigan on October 16, 1940, the daughter of the late Antonio and Edna A. (Pickelmann) Abbenante. After graduating from high school, Nancy attended Hurley School of nursing, then serving as a Registered Nurse at the Genesee County Health Department until her retirement.
She married Steve Miller on December 10, 1965. Nancy and Steve went on to have two children, Steven and Bruce. Nancy was an active member of the Lamb of God Lutheran Church. Nancy enjoyed being involved in church activities such as the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and the church choir.
Nancy was always kind to anyone in need and will be dearly missed by all that knew her, especially her family. When she wasn’t helping others, you could find Nancy working in her garden, reading, or walking in her neighborhood. She was an avid walker and enjoyed being outdoors.
Most of all Nancy loved spending time with her family. Her 5 grandchildren were the love of her life.
Surviving are sons, Steven (Kat) Miller and Bruce Miller;
5 grandchildren, Stephanie, Gina, Justin, Jessica and Jenifer;
3 great-grandchildren, Luci, Liam and Giovanni;
brother, Richard (Maria) Abbenante;
sister, Patricia Glowacki;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve; her parents; brothers, Ken and Ted.
