CHAPLIN, Kay Ellen (Lovegrove) – of Flint, MI, age 74, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on a later date.
Kay was born in Flint, MI on August 8, 1946, daughter of the late Evan and Kathryn (MacDonald) Lovegrove. She married Donald Chaplin on June 18, 1966. Kay was employed as a legal secretary for Ruhala and Draper Law Firm and she was a personnel manager at The Fair Store at Courtland Center in Burton, MI. She enjoyed playing Bingo, trips with her husband and her friends and spending time with her family.
Kay is survived by her husband of 54 years, Donald Chaplin; daughter, Kathy (Camlin) Vermilya; 2 grandsons, Kevin and Connor Vermilya; brother, Robert (Kelly) Lovegrove; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Evan and Kathryn Lovegrove; 3 siblings, Daniel Lovegrove, Peggy Amore and Sally Lovegrove.
