GOUINE, Jerry D. – of Davison, MI, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at McLaren Lapeer. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM, Monday, July 26, 2021, at Richfield Church of the Nazarene, 7524 E. Mt. Morris Rd., Otisville, MI 48463. Pastor Duce will officiate with interment at Millington Cemetery. Family will receive visitors 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Monday at church.
Jerry was born in Cheboygan, MI on December 17, 1935, son of the late Henry and Ila (Riness) Gouine. He married Genevieve M. Lyman on June 7, 1956, at Millington Nazarene Church. Jerry graduated from Mayville High School in 1954. He became a member of the Millington Nazarene Church at the age of 14, and later became a member of Richfield Church of the Nazarene. Jerry worked for Means Industries, retiring in 2000. He enjoyed riding horses and motorcycles.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Genevieve Gouine; children, Rodney (Reva) Gouine, Sharon (Mark) Hunt, Karen (Doug) Roberts, Randy Gouine; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Sally (Gary) Ulshafer, Bonnie Valentine. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Henry Gouine.
