HARGREAVES, Barbara M. - age 82, of Grand Blanc, died March 10, 2024. A memorial service will be held 3 PM Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430. The family will receive friends from 10 AM - 3 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Humane Society (www.geneseehumane.org). Barbara was born March 13, 1941 in Amsterdam, NY, the daughter of Barrington M. and Mary Ruth (Bennett) Hatter. She was a 1959 graduate of Webster Groves High School in Missouri. Barbara was on a Curling league for many years. Her and her husband, Dale traveled much of the country RV Camping and were members of the Escapees RV Club chapter 6. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, being a Facebook cheerleader for others posts and had a soft spot for rescuing cats. Many described Barbara as the glue of the family. Surviving are: husband, Dale of Grand Blanc; two daughters, Laura (Robert) Peurach of Madison Heights and Jenny (Todd) Benton of Farmington Hills; brother-in-law, Donald Hargreaves; and two sisters-in-law, Sallie Hargreaves of Fenton and Sally Hargreaves of St. Augustine, FL; many nieces and nephews.
