LANG, Barbara Jean (Kiesling) – of Davison, MI, age 93, peacefully passed away, surrounded by family, on Sunday, October 8, 2023. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Jon Gildner will be officiating, with burial at Pine Grove Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 2-7 PM Monday, October 16, 2023 and 10-11 AM Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Flint Central Church of the Nazarene or Compassus Hospice.
A longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Davison, Barbara was born in Goodrich, MI on August 24, 1930. She was the first child of Paul and Helen (Cox) Kiesling. She married the love of her life, Eugene Fred Lang, on November 4th, 1950. The two loved to spend time together with their family and friends. However, Barb was happiest in life when she was spending time with her husband, watching the Michigan Wolverines or watching the Detroit Tigers. She also enjoyed volunteering her time at Hill Elementary School as a reading buddy, and enjoyed the title of Grandma Barb. Barb was currently attending the Central Church of the Nazarene, online.
Barbara is survived by her 7 children, Robert (Annie) Lang, Keith (Sandra) Lang, Paul (Mary) Lang; Janis (Ken) Gilbert, Linda (Karl) Strine, Susan (Gregory) Wright and James (Jennifer) Lang; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; daughter, Sharon Ann; granddaughter, Amy; parents, Paul and Helen Kiesling; parents-in-law, Fred and Bernice Lang; siblings and in-laws, Irene (Bill) Vessels, Sophia (Elwin) Gabel, Carleton (Marion) Herman, Kenneth (Glenda) Kiesling, Cameron (Geraldine) Kiesling, Mildred (Vernor) Johnson, and Martha (Donald) Lahring.
The family would especially like to express their gratitude to the loving care from the aides of The Pines of Goodrich.
