Howard, Jerry of Flushing, age 61, died Sunday, November 1, 2020, at his home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, November 9, 2020, at North Flushing Baptist Church. Cremation will follow the services. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Monday at the church until the time of the service at 11 a.m.
Jerry was born in Flint, Michigan on October 7, 1959, the son of John and Lavinia (Morgan) Howard. He married Jill Gray on September 29, 1984, in Flint. Jerry worked as a Mechanic for Shea Buick/GMC. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and golf. He loved working in his garage and anything that has to do with cars including Hot Rods and Drag Racing. Jerry was a sports fan, especially U of M Football and Detroit Lions. Jerry’s greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends and he lived life to the fullest.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jill; daughter, Rebecca and husband Scott Staley; siblings, Richard and wife Charlotte Howard, Beryl “Susie” Caskey, Jacqueline and husband Terry Vivian, Elizabeth and husband Dave Zolenski, Sherry and husband Doug Rustin, Martin and wife Lisa Howard; mother-in-law, Vivian Gray; brothers-in-law, Jeffrey Gray, Scott Gray; many special nieces and nephews and dear friends; and beloved dog, Zoey. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents. |
