GOSSEL, Ramona Jean – of Clio, age 68, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Monday, February 21, 2022, at City Church – 218 S. Mill St., in Clio. Pastor Jim Marcus officiating. Burial to follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery in Flint. The family will receive visitors at the church on Monday from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mona was born February 9, 1954, in Flint, Michigan, to the late William and Lloy (Evans) Malone. She graduated from Hamady High School in 1972. Mona married the love of her life, Daniel Gossel on November 10, 1973, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Mona and Dan enjoyed 48 years together. She was a homemaker and loved caring for her two daughters. Mona enjoyed gardening, landscaping, decorating her home, traveling, and listening to music. Above all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are: Loving husband, Daniel Gossel; Daughters: Erika Gossel, and Stephanie (Alan) Yost; Grandchildren: Savannah and Jake Yost; Sister, Gwyndolyn (Thomas) Farkas; Brother, Ricky (Denise) Malone; Many nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and dear friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Nurse, Stephan Rose, and Dr. Rosko and staff at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, and Dr. Schaff and staff for all their love and care.
