ANDRINGA, Carla Jean - Age 59, of Burton, passed away Monday, August 15, 2022. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton (A live stream of the service will be available on Carla's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Pastor Brad Foster officiating. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 4-8 PM.
Carla was born September 13, 1962 in Flint. She was a 1980 graduate of Flint Southwestern High School. She had resided in Burton for the past 7 years. Carla married William Brent Andringa March 19, 2011. She was employed as a firefighter for both the City of Burton and Fenton Township; she also worked as a EMT for several years and as a bus driver for Grand Blanc Community Schools. She enjoyed crafting, decorating, home design, and hosting extravagant Christmases.
Surviving are: her husband, William "Bill" Andringa; children, Michelle Carr (Dan Davis) of Fenton, Brent Andringa of Burton, and Michelle Andringa serving in the U.S. Navy; grandchildren, Dontrell, Remington, Makayla, and Dani; brother, Duwayne (Marianne) Zauba of Genesee Township; In-laws, Pete and Irene Andringa of Grandville; brothers-in-law, Ben (Sharon) Andringa of Holland and Randy Andringa of Spring Lake; sister-in-law, Mary (Lynn) Faber of Caladonia.
