MICHALIK, Marian Jane – of Genesee TWP, age 70, died Friday, March 15, 2024 at Westfall AFC Home. Honoring Marian’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation.
Marian was born April 17, 1953 in Flint, Michigan to the late Rudell and Gwendolyn (Davies) Kelley. She grew up in Flint, Michigan and graduated from Flint Southwestern High School with the class of 1971. She went on to marry Ronald Michalik of Flint, Michigan on October 1, 1982. Marian went to Detroit College of Business and received her Associate degree in Business Administration, Graduating Cum Laude with the class of 1987. Prior to her retirement in late 2019, Marian was the Deputy Clerk for Genesee Township. She also previously worked several years as an EMT with Kearsley Rescue Squad. Marian was also a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts for several years. She enjoyed knitting, gardening, tending to her flowers, and vacationing at Higgins Lake with family and friends. Marian loved going to the dragstrip, supporting her husband and son when they drag raced The Flyin' Beetle.
Surviving are: Husband of 41 years, Ronald Michalik; Son, Timothy (Keri Redmond) Michalik; Granddaughter, Alea Michalik; Siblings, David (Linda) Kelley, Janet (Tom) Day, Roger (Janice) Kelley; Sisters in law, Carol (Doug) Wendland, Betty (Doug) Sherwood; Brothers, in law, Donald (Terrie) Michalik, Mike (Lois) Michalik; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
