Donna Lee (Hewett) Miracle, age 89, passed away surrounded by her family on January 27, 2025. She was born on November 12, 1935, to Earl and Jennie (Hinkley) Hewett in Whittemore, MI. Donna graduated from Whittemore Prescott High School. She married the love of her life, Richard James Miracle, on August 7, 1954. Donna is remembered for her many artistic abilities. She enjoyed drawing and painting. She was a talented musician, and she enjoyed singing as well as playing the piano and organ. Donna lived in Mexico City for 15 years and often thought back on that time, sharing stories with her family. She and Dick frequently traveled through the country and spent many winters in Baja, CA. She was a founding member of the Whittemore Racing Club Women’s Auxiliary and the Whittemore 4-H Club. She and Richard were members of the County Line Wesleyan Church.
Donna is survived by her children; Janice (Garth) Hunt, Denise (Jack) Dunn, Rick (Jennie) Miracle, Cheryl Miracle Ackley, Marcia (Brian) Lobdell, and Annette (Kevin) Kaczmarek, sisters; Theresa (Rick) Valent of Whittemore, Judy (Gary) Streeter of
Florida, grandchildren; Shannon (Tom) Rea, Maureen (Mark) Kalhoefer, Lindsay (Brad) Bechtel, Andrew (Lauren) Dunn, Jacqueline (Adam) Gilles, Rick (Leslie) Miracle, Staci (Kevin) Daly, Haley (Brandyn) Clemens, Lauren (Paul) Starr, Mitchell Ackley, Erin (Travis) Palmer, Jamie (Jason) Hutchison, Derek (Jodi) Lobdell, Krysta (Kris) Stirewalt,
Kayla (Jon) Jury, and Kara (Hamza) Hmaidi, Great grandchildren; Caitlyn (Lucas) Mitchell, Makenzie Rea, Brendan Rea, Colton Kalhoefer, Wyatt Kalhoefer, Luke Kalhoefer, Eli Kalhoefer, Ty Kalhoefer, Addison Bechtel, Callie Bechtel, Brecken Bechtel, Mathew Dunn, Maggie Dunn, Anders Dunn, Aubrey Lafave, Isabel Gilles, Lexi Gilles, Tatum Miracle, Reese Miracle, Matthew Chambers, Isaac Chambers, Luke Miller, Selah Miller, Daniel Miller, Eleanor Ackley, Parker Starr, Arthur Starr, Airyonna Palmer, Alex Palmer, Keira Hutchison, Kenadi Hutchison, Kamari Dittenber, Elijah Lobdell, Jessica Stierwalt, Kashius Steirwalt, Axel Steirwalt, Angelo Jury and baby girl Hmaidi, great great grandson Carter Mitchell, beloved extended family; Noel Bryne, Martin Ackley, and Cari Miracle, 17 nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband of 60 years, she is preceded in death by her siblings; David Hewett of Whittemore, Dick Hewett of Deckerville, Gloria Hoffman of Carsonville, and Marlene Hewett of Whittemore. Sisters in laws; Ann and Nancy and cherished nephew; Eric Valent. A graveside committal service for Richard and Donna will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Cedar Valley Cemetery in Twining, MI. Time to be determined. The internment service will be officiated by their grandson Pastor Adam Gilles.
