WHALEY, Anthony J. – of Flint, age 61, died unexpectedly on Thursday, March 4, 2021. Honoring his wishes, cremation will be taking place. A Celebration of Tony’s Life will be held at a later date.
Tony was born January 9, 1960 in Flint, Michigan to the late Arthur and Julia (Ripka) Whaley. He attended Hamady Schools. Tony worked in construction as a laborer for many years. He enjoyed fishing, morel mushroom hunting, and was a fan of the Detroit Lions, Tigers, Red Wings and MSU Spartans. Tony was quite the jokester and a great storyteller.
Surviving are: Daughter, HollyAnn Germak; Grandchildren: Jadin Germak, Mylah Taylor, Maleah Taylor, and Mckaya Taylor; Siblings: Dennis (Lois) Whaley, Terrie (Douglas) Marsh, and Patrick (Denise) Whaley; Brother in law, Jerry Keely; Nieces and nephews: Chris (Tracey) Jones, Toni Kae (Richard) Barnhart, Judy (Scott) Thomas, Lynda Marsh, Andrew Lahde, Joshua Whaley, Joel (Kelly) Whaley, Jonah (Abi) Whaley, Heather (Sandy) Levine, Rose (Jacob) Thomas, Ryan Whaley, Brian Keely, Margaret Keely, and Glen (Margaret) Keely; Good friends: Patrick, and Randy Gebhardt.
