LEWIS, PHYLLIS J. – Of Flushing, age 79, died Monday, October 16, 2023 at her home.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Steve Wood officiating, with inurnment of Phyllis’ cremains to follow at 2 p.m. Monday at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Visitation 10 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Flushing American Legion.
Phyllis was born in West Hamlin, West Virginia on April 16, 1944, the daughter of the late Robert L. and Glada J. (Madden) Lucas.
She married Richard Dean Lewis on December 29, 1962 in Celina, Ohio and he preceded her in death on June 14, 2013.
She enjoyed traveling and wintering in Florida. Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She had a great sense of humor, was always laughing.
Surviving are children, Sandy (George) Baker,
Richard (Sherri) Lewis, II and
Michael (Lisa) Lewis;
grandchildren, Andrew, Samantha and Jessica Baker, Ryan and Kyle Lewis;
siblings, Mary, James, Billy, Lonnie, Ike and Richard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her sibings and parents.
