Mark Alan Fortenberry, 67, of Flushing, Michigan, passed away, Friday, December 15, 2023, surrounded by family. Honoring his wishes, cremation will be taking place. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 23, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at the Montrose Pub - 10174 Vienna Road, Montrose, MI.
Mark was born March 30, 1956, in Saginaw, Michigan to James and Joann (Hawley) Fortenberry. He enjoyed the simple things in life – hunting, fishing, golfing, being at the racetrack, the red wings and watching soccer. Most importantly he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Mark is survived by his two daughters, Katie (Meg) Fortenberry, and Kelley (Zak) Rumsey; five grandchildren, Isabel (Hunter) Knipp, Weston Rumsey, Everleigh Fortenberry, Ivy Fortenberry, Piper Rumsey; one great grandchild, Amelia Knipp. He is also survived by his brother Terry (Linda) Fortenberry and sister Patti (Duane) Linton, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Joann, and brother Brian Fortenberry.
