HARNETZ, Rachel E. - Of Mundy Township, age 71, died Thursday, December 28, 2023 at her home.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend Tracy Scott officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the family.
Visitation 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Rachel was born in Northville, Michigan on June 25, 1952, the daughter of the late Lockeard and Janice (Briggs) Walls.
On June 5, 1971 she married Melvin Harnetz in Brighton.
She loved M & M’s, especially Ms. Green and loved to cook. Most of all she loved her children; spoiled her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are four children, Francine Harnetz,
Markus (Sarah) Muennix,
Stephen Harnetz and
Melissa (James) Harnetz-Wyant;
grandchildren, James and Rose;
great-grandchild, Jasper;
brothers, Allan Walls, Eric Walls and James Walls;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin of 46 ½ years; sisters, Locke Ann, Yvonne, Rose and Bette; brothers, Joseph, Edward and Roy.
