Marjorie C. Bendall
Age 88, of Owosso, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at St. Paul Catholic Church, with Father Michael O'Brien officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.
Born on July 9, 1937, in Owosso, Michigan, Marjorie was the beloved daughter of Lawrence and Ida (Allworth) Tyrrell. She graduated from Morrice High School in 1954 and continued her education at Michigan State University.
Marjorie was actively involved in many organizations, illustrating her commitment to the community. She was a member of the Shiawassee County Chapter of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel (MARSP) and contributed her time to the St. Paul Altar Society, St. Theresa Guild, St. Paul Resurrection Choir, and the Red Hat Society Durand Choo Choo's. Marjorie's compassionate spirit led her to volunteer frequently for Catholic charities and St. Vincent DePaul.
Marjorie was a great seamstress and baker. She looked forward to walking in nature, water aerobics, dancing, traveling to new places, and camping with family and friends. Most of all Marjorie's greatest joy in life was her family.
On October 12, 1957, she married her loving husband, Jerry D. Bendall, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Morrice. She continued to carry his memory in her heart after his passing on February 21, 2023.
Marjorie worked as a teacher aide at Durand Area Schools and as a dedicated Home Health Care Aide for many years.
Marjorie leaves behind her loving children, Charlene M. Hebekeuser and Patrick Bendall; her adored grandchildren, Amie Hebekeuser, Marci Hebekeuser, and Logan (Jessica) Hebekeuser; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Gavin Logan Hebekeuser, Marli Hebekeuser, and Hudson Hebekeuser. She is also survived by her dear siblings, Nancy Alice Carbary and Lura (Dick) Bolek; her brother-in-law, Warren Gutting; her sisters-in-law, Kay Bendall and Mary Bendall; along with numerous other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Ida Tyrrell; her siblings, Elizabeth (Joseph) Lezovich, Katherine Gutting, John (Jack) Tyrrell, and Edward Tyrrell; and her brothers-in-law, James Carbary, Frank (Rita) Bendall, Dan (Joyce) Bendall, Gene (Norma) Marriage, Phil Bendall, and John Bendall.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul-Owosso or Friends of Pat's Place, organizations she held dear.
