Evelyn Ruth Dolan, age 88 of Grand Blanc, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018. She was born on July 10, 1930 in Flint to parents Herbert and Bernice (Wilson) Wascher. All throughout her life Evelyn was involved in her community. She worked as a telephone switchboard operator, a police dispatcher for Flint, sold Avon, and later worked for the Flint Schools Story Time program. Evelyn was a faithful member at Holy Family Catholic Church where she spent many years involved with planning the funeral luncheons, working in Outreach, and the 55 and over group. For thirty years she and husband Bob spent their winters in Florida where she also remained very active in the community. Above all, Evelyn will be remembered for being a wonderful mother to her children. Evelyn is survived by her husband of 68 years, Bob Dolan; children: Debra Carver, Bradley Dolan, DeAnn (Todd) Campbell, and Jenifer (Richard) Mueller; grandchildren: Bryan Campbell, Sarah Campbell, Caralyn Carver, Matthew Mueller, Olivia Mueller, Amber Dolan, Marci Dolan, and Ryan Dolan; four great grandchildren; brother, Tom (Sara) Wascher; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both parents; mother and father-in-law, Margaret and William Dolan; son-in-law, Gary Carver. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 2-8pm at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, with a Rosary Service at 7pm. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to Holy Family Catholic Church. |
