TURKOVICS, Fred Alvero – of Flint, MI, age 83, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12 PM Monday, July 25, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Interment in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 12-7 PM Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 11 AM-12 PM Monday, July 25, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, in Fred’s memory.
Fred was born in Flint, MI on January 21, 1939, son of the late Julius and Wilma (Pierce) Turkovics. He married Rosalie Mary Whitcomb on August 25, 1956 in Flint, MI and she preceded him in death on January 7, 2022. Fred retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Davison, MI. Fred enjoyed Detroit Tigers baseball, Nascar, fishing and going Up North.
Fred is survived by 4 children, Ramona Turkovics, Katrina (Steve) Provost, Calvin (Julia) Turkovics and Mark (Paula) Turkovics; 7 grandchildren, Rebecca (Brent) Keeler, Katelyn (Scott Byrne) Boyer, Lauren Turkovics, Trent Turkovics, Dan (Jessica Cavanaugh) Provost, Tonya (Myke) Hawkins and Diego (Sara) Cuenca; 7 great-grandchildren, Shelbey Keeler, Aubrey Keeler, Riley Keeler, Edward Keeler, Ava Grace Hawkins, Maverick Byrne and Lorelai Provost; 4 siblings, Agnes Carsten, Louis (Diana) Turkovics, Juke Turkovics and Marlene (Bob) Olson; many other loving family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Wilma Turkovics; his wife, Rosalie Mary Turkovics; sister-in-law, Karon Turkovics and brother-in-law, Ron Carsten.
