It is with loving hearts that our family announces the passing of Peggy Annabelle Denman, who went home to be with her Lord and Savior, whom she dearly loved, on Friday, July 3, 2026, at the age of 95, in Grand Blanc, Michigan.
Peggy was born on July 5, 1930, in Goodrich, Michigan, to Archie and Joyce Lortz. She grew up
in Holly, Michigan, and attended various area schools, leaving school after the ninth grade. On February 5, 1949, in Angola, Indiana, she married Russell Wiltfong, and together they built a life in Grand Blanc, Michigan, where they raised their four children: Dale, Steve, Denise, and Peggy Sue over the next 29 years. Later in life, she married her childhood sweetheart, George Denman, and the Lord blessed them with five wonderful years together.
In her late 40s, Peggy returned to school to earn her high school diploma in 1977 and then put herself through nursing school at Mott Community College, graduating in 1979. She worked as an LPN at St. Joseph Hospital in Flint, Michigan. Peggy loved being a mom and grandma. She enjoyed traveling, painting, sewing, crocheting, fishing, walking, listening to good old country music, and spending time with her family. Later in life, she crocheted lap blankets for her fellow residents at WellBridge of Grand Blanc. Those who knew her will remember her for her love of the Lord, her unwavering faith, her kindness, her devotion to family, and her wonderful sense of humor. One of her greatest joys was having all of her children together or spending time at the family cabin in Hillman, Michigan.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Dale Warren, Steven (Deborah) Wiltfong, Denise (Russell) Greenfield, and Peggy Trojanek; her stepchildren, Sandra Soyka, Victoria (Michael) Duff, Christine (Carr) Melton, Rick (Beverly) Denman, and Gary (Laura) Denman; her grandchildren, Jeffrey (Lori) Wolfgang, Timothy (Danete) Wolfgang, Steven (Johanna) Wiltfong, Erik (Jaimie) Wiltfong, Carrie Trojanek, and Alicia (Nathan) Landrum; her step-grandchildren, Melissa (Joseph) Reid and Brenda Greenfield; many great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren; and her sister, Marylin Frick.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Russell Wiltfong and George Denman; her parents, Archie and Joyce Lortz; her stepmother, Alvina Lortz; her sister, Janise Lortz; her brothers, William Lortz and Dale “Pete”; Lortz; her son-in-law, Nathan Warren; and her stepchildren, Jerry Soyka, George C. Denman, and Arlene Garcia.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude to those who so selflessly cared for Peggy during her later years: Nancy Rogers, Lori Livasy, Kelly Lee, her friends and caregivers at WellBridge—Raeshelle, Chelsi, Terilyn, Eveline, Carol, and Kelly—and Elizabeth from Compassus Hospice.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Temrowski Family Funeral Home in Fenton, Michigan. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery in Grand Blanc, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan’s Purse – World Medical Mission.
Though she will be deeply missed, her love, faith, and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her legacy lives on through her family and the countless lives she touched.
